Hey guys! Just bought my second f-body (last one was a v6), it is a 1995 red trans am with leather, t-tops, spoiler, 6-speed! It has gu6 (3.42's?) gears in it, just curious, what will she run in a 1/4? Thanks!

 

Sounds like my car! Mine ran 13.8's-9's @101mph stock. Yours should run anywhere from low 14's to high 13's around 98-101mph.

 

Perfect prediction as long as the car is in GOOD running order.

94 up autos are either 273 or 323...6spd is 342

 

GU6 code means you got 3.42's. That code only comes in 6-Speed equipped F-Bodys. I am not too sure, but I do not think all 6-speed came with 3.42, I believe a 2.73 rear end was also available.

Gu4 - 2.73
Gu5 - 3.23 auto only
Gu6 - 3.42 6 Speed only

That would be hilarious. I've always wanted to see someone put some 2.73s in his M6. Have you ever driven an M6? 1st gear would pull to 65 mph..2nd gear to 100..ha ha ha.

All M6s came with 3.42:1 gears installed.

 

There sure wouldnt be many shifts involved with a 2.73 M6.

Sixth Gear would be crazy from 215 to 319 mph
