Both of my headlights stopped working..wtf?

So i turn on my headlights in my 95 TA and both of my headlights dont work....I dont think its a coincidence that both of them went out at the same time....what do you guys think could have happened?

It did get down to like 23 degrees that night, if that has anything to do with it...and no I didnt even open the hood that night so i know i never hit anything.

I think they were overloaded by your sig, LOL! Whew, you need to shorten that thing!

There have been people that have had both lights go out at the same time. I would use a meter to check the plugs on them to see if they have power.

well the fuse controls all the lights, so when i took it out it turn off all exterior lighting. Im not sure about the relays though...

There are no relays for the headlights.

Do high beams work? The headlights are directly powered through the switch, the switch has an internal circuit breaker and the switch is fed by a fusible link. If you check the power at the headlight plug you will be miles ahead in figuring this out.

I dont have a meter to check it...so when the superbowl is over(actaully it pretty much is over now), im just gonna get some lights from walmart. If those dont work then ill just take them back and try to find a meter then.

Got a little test light or a bulb in a socket that you can use as a test light? That will do the same. Headlights are $$$$

I can't remember if the plugs are the same but if you could swap the plugs for the high and low, that would tell you if the wiring was ok. I bet it is the headlights now, though.

You know my car is having a simliar problem too, i almost forgot about it since i haven't driven it since october. When i switch the headlights on, they don't go up and you can see the voltage meter jump all over the place. However, if i switch it to the high beams, they go up and work fine, what gives? I figured a short or something.

Get a little test light in the automotive section when you are there.
