Borla + heads/cam + 383 + no cats + LTs? Rice?

Anyone have a setup similar to this, maybe not so much the cubic inches, but the top end/exhaust work?

Heard a lot of people saying it sounds like rice?anyone have any input to that or sound clips?

I would imagine it would sound pretty wicked.
Why would someone think it sounds like rice?

not really ricey, more raspy! It depends on if you have your Borla plate thing(Yes, another technical term)all the way open, or all the way closed. YES, some of them sound RASPY, and personally, I don't like that. I like deep and kinda mellow. BUT HEY! If you like it, GO FOR IT BRO!!

I dont have my heads and cam in yet but here are some clips of mine.If it sounds rice it is only because it has a few stuck in the muffler that havent been spit out yet.hooker LT mufflex 4" y-pipe Borla "opened"

It sounds like you need to stop listening to unexperienced people. Totally different dynamics between a small block chevy and a ricer.

I don't have any sound clips, but if you can wait another month while my car is getting done, I can let you hear it.
I have Borla with Grottyohann Longtubes, Dual-cat y-pipes, and it's probably one of the best sounding LT1 you'll ever hear.
And yes, it's a 383. Sounds muscular to me, nothing close to resembling any thing remotely rice.
The LT1 has just this old muscle car type sound, and it shows when people add aftermarket exhaust/headers.
