Bone stock 96,000 mile LT1 goes 11.67

Just got back from Bradenton Motorsports Park over on the west coast....

What a day. www.pbfbody.com rented out the track for a day. $42/car, 55 cars so it wasn't bad at all.

I could have made about 20-25 passes if I wanted to, but I let the car sit for awhile just to hang out, let it cool, talk to people, etc.

First run....had nitrous in the line but forgot to re-open the bottle. Sprayed a little bit off the line then the rest of the run I realized it stopped spraying so I let out at the end. 13.7 @ 90 1.6x 60'

Second run....got the bottle nice and warm, hotlapped from the previous run. Was about 82-83 degrees outside at the time of this run.
100 shot - 11.99 @ 110.x 1.58 60' (happy as hell after this one).

Hotlapped it again and ran a 12.1 @ 109.x on a high 1.5x 60'

Let the car cool...put in the 150 jets, warm up the bottle

11.67 @ 114.x 1.54 60'

Ran again but spun real bad.....12.2

I had lots of people coming up to me asking what I had done....there were SO many LS1s, Mustangs, Grand Nationals, etc.
I was the only LT1 in the 11's, and everyone was quite surprised to see that I have 96k+ miles and never had a valve cover off

I was pulling the left front wheel when stalling it up to 2k or so. Launching off idle doesn't flash the converter as hard on spray since the car gets moving a little bit before the n2o engages, so it's easier on the drivetrain and for some reason my 60's have improved.

Nice runs Man! very impressive to be in the same speed category as a C6 ZO6. I'm enjoying the exhaust you sold me, wicked sound at 4000rpm and up. P.M. me if you still have those drag radials you were talking about getting rid of. Nick

Hey Nick...glad you're liking the exhaust. Unfortunately I sold the drag radials a few weeks ago. How was the Pacesetter install?

Throw some fresh springs and a set of 1.6s at it, most will still consider this boltons, bet the springs in particular can help you out a lot. Maybe not 10.99 good but enought to make it worthwhile. Wouldn't it be great to need a rollbar in a stock engine car?
