So you're saying you picked up 27 MPH on the top end on a bolt on LT1???? That's almost hard to believe.

That is what I am saying. I think the combination of a lowered, 3.42, T56 car help it pick up the way it does. Did it at two different tracks so I feel the clocks are right. Plus the reason for the 1/8 being like it is could be because of the way I am leaving. That hurts me in the 1/8 but once I pass the 1/8 it is smooth sailing.

That's impressive. You sure that's not the 1 1/16 mile track??

What are your short times like?

Re: Bolt-on cars in side...

CAI, 1LE bellows, accel 300+, Ed Wright tune, Hooker LTs, built tranny with 2800 TCI stall, 1LE driveshaft, 3.73 gears with TA girdle, Lakewood panhard rod and LCAs, BMR relocation brackets and adjustable TA, Eibach drag launch kit, KYB AGX shocks, KBDD subframes, Granatelli Gload brace, true duals, no AIR, EGR, or AC, TB bypass and I think thats it.
I installed the headers when I did the tranny install at 135k, the car now has 150k on the motor and it runs 13.4@104 consistently, 1.9 short times.
Who knows what it would have run if I had all the mods on 50k motor.......

Still can't figure why i can get a 1.7XX 60' and still only manage a 13.5XX and trap 98mph. Is it just in my head or should i be closer to a 13flat?? and trapping at like 102

What are the weather conditions like? If they aren't too bad, I would expect you to be running several more mph than 98. Are you getting any knock(false or not)?

A tune up may be in order.

Re: Bolt-on cars in side...

Well looks like I have a slow one maybe.96 z vert..race weight 3775 .Altitude of track 1600 feet.
Just ran a couple days ago.Mods:tb bypass,g2 induction,holley powershot filter,airfoil,ile bellows,160 stat,slp fan switch,3.42 gears,A4,hpp tuning out,
maf translator, magnaflow catback,no air pump or egr,1le panhard and control arms.

Had nitto 275/40 /17 off my other car for the races.Didn't really heat them up though just aired them down a bit.Didn't feel like wearing them down with burnouts at this event, wasn't worth it.

Best time was a 14.35 at 2.18 with a 95 mph.Headwind that day not sure how bad.I was hoping for a 13 and think could have had one with a 2.0 60ft and burnouts with the nittos.

I plan on stall converter and 1.6 or maybe 1.7 rockers next season. Also thinking of getting some 16 inch et street radials for racing but not sure if the auto can stand up to them. And how long will the 460 last with 125 shot of spray..? Another mod idea.

Re: Bolt-on cars in side...

Oh I posted my mods and times but I think we need a separate category for this stuff. Most of us want to compare mod times and hp.

All times are GMT -5. The time now is 08:28 AM.
