BMR subframes, quick question.

I need to get some SFC's sometime soon. I think I'm probably gonna go with BMR's. Anyway I'm looking at both boxed and tubular. I don't think I really need the boxed, but would it be better to just go with them in anticipation of future power or would tubular be just fine? Also I saw a black Z(like mine) somewhere on someone's site where you could see the SFC's running along the bottom on each side. I really like the looks of that for some reason. I would assume those are boxed since it says they drop down about 3/4's of an inch. Is this true? If those are the ones I'll probably just go with boxed for the look and strength alone. I doubt I'll ever lower my car. I live in Michigan and that's just asking for trouble.

Yes, those are the boxed.

They look nice. Don't worry about ground clearance. Your exhaust probably hangs lower than the subframes anyway.

To each his.... For my money I'd sooner not be able to see the SFCs.

It's kinda like a pair of shoes. If they are great looking shoes, ok, but if they look stupid or not shined, I'd rather not draw attention to them. JMHO

Boxed BMR is a good way to go, at least for me it was.

I just bought a 95 T/A and was curious bout this. What is the difference in boxed and tubular? And, are the BMR's weld on SFC's? I heard the welded ones were the thing to do. I hope this mod will stop the sunroof leaks. Will it??

Boxed is stronger then tubular. I believe BMR only makes weld ons but I'm not sure, it won't stop the t-top leaks but it will help prevent future ones.

I think it looks good to see the SFC's. They come powdercoated and look good. So it would be just like a good looking polished pair of shoes. I wanted a couple different accent colors and between lower control arms,SFC's, panhard, and a STB I think I'll do that just fine. That's the only real reason I liked them showing.

Another question, does anyone know what the difference in weight the boxed are from tubular. Or basically what each pair weighs?

I like the BMR boxed SFCs because they give you a nice place to jack up the front end of the car and a good place to put jackstands. Also they have a lot of points for welding at the rear because they wrap around the LCA mount.
You can see them from the side but its not like they are obvious.

Not if you have Long tubes and a hooker Y-pipe. Won't fit.

I have boxed BMR's. You can see them easily if you stand a couple feet from the car. They're more than worth the money though. After I had mine welded on, it felt like I was driving a different car. Should be one of the very first mods anyone does IMO.

Are those the double diamonds? I've heard of them but never seen em and was just guessing from the obvious.
