Blue smoke question.

I replaced the spark plugs and it has new springs and valve stem seals. It puffs out blue smoke if I come to a stop and leave again. It does its fairly often but not consistently. Could it be either a seal just isn't seated good or a poor injector?

Sorry I know this is a common question just thought it odd it still did after the valve stem seal were replaced.

Re: Blue smoke question.

Blue smoke comes from oil and the injectors have nothing to do with oil. You could have a seal installed incorrectly but chances are greater that you have an intake gasket leak. You could also have a PCV problem. Change the valve and if it still does it, you can check crankcase vacuum with a manometer. If it checks out ok, you probably have an intake gasket problem. Before you go tearing into it, check which plug is oil fouled and then confirm the intake gasket in that area has a problem.
