My 95 LT1 is almost done. The flow numbers are 290 for the stage 2 port job on the heads. The motor has flat top Lunati pistons and is planned to have 9.5 to 1 compression. The expected RWHP is expected at ~400. I plan to put a Procharger blower on later and run between 8-10 lbs of boost. How much HP increase should I expect?

 

With a good exhaust setup... For every pound of boost i'd expect a 12+ Horsepower improvement.

 

looking at the procharger faq at
www.procharger.com/faq.html
they say that at 7.5 lbs of boost should give about 35% to 40%. That says 140 to 160 HP increase. Can anybody that has put on the procharger confirm or deny?

When my motor was stock I added a 6# Vortech and 1 5/8 headers...dyno'd 370 at the rear wheels (M6). Most stock LT1's dyno around 245 rwhp, therefore that's 125 hp from the blower and headers.
