Boy, I don't think so. You'll have to grind away any stress risers and I think it'll be to far into the cylinder for that. Maybe MachinistOne can chime in.

I don't know if it can be done or not but a sleeve might get you back in business.

I'd start the search for another block. You can use anything out of a f-body, b-body or y-body unless it has 4.3 cast into the side..All the other blocks have 327 cast into them.a casting number, not a displacement...

God luck!

no good depending on the type of build (if you hold a high standard then no way). if its a stocker build then you could grind and chamfer, but the piston skirt will wear a groove eventually. a sleeve would work but waste of money by the time you sonic check the block for cracks and do all the machine work, just find another block. its not like its a dart race block.

For your own peace of mind and the relatively low cost of finding a good condition used block the choice to me is obvious.

Yeah, that's repairable as long as it's not cracked. Issue is that you'll distort the accompanying cylinders with the sleeve install so you'll be going to the next oversize on the whole block to do it right.

Not sure what the going rate is on a replacement block right now, I would imagine pretty cheap - we haven't done one in quite a while because there's no demand.
