block questions?

ok first ever tear down, just wondering if there are any tips or small mods that i can do to the block that would help performance? Im not looking for any serious numbers. It's a 94 m6 and i just bought a morso cai, eddlebrock shorty headers, lt4 hot cam with a set of heads and intake that were machined to run with the cam and a bbk 58mm tb. The heads are coming without springs or roller rockers tho, so any suggestions on those would be great too. I have pics of the block from the top and bottom but i cant figure out how to post them.

There are a number of little things you can do that help reliability with a very radical build. The book CHEVROLET POWER has a good section on what Hendrick Motorsports does for Cup blocks. These mostly don't add power but are more related to reliability under extreme stress. For typical use, just the usual stuff. A high quality bore and hone with torque plate to fit your specific pistons, chase all the threads in high stress areas (the main caps, head bolts, etc.), very careful and clean assembly are what come to mind.
