Blew Head Gasket! Help?!
Blew Head Gasket! Help?!
I think that when I blew it, I bent a valve sence water doesn't compress all that well..............but what else could this hurt engine wise????????????????
Do you mean a conn rod? Valves don't compress anything. A valve only sees high pressure when it's seated so the stem wouldn't get bent.
If head gas. problem, you could have water in the oil, oil in the water or leaking air into both. You could have water in the cylinder. Have you tested it for a bad gasket? (leak down or coolant system pressure test)? Are you loosing coolant?
Just wondering

blown head gasket, if you blew a connecting rod you wouldnt be able to keep the motor running and you would hear loud knocking noises, but you said you bent a valve? you probobly have a hole in your piston now. Better take the head off and check before you run it again!! How do you know you bent a valve?
