bleeding coolant on new engine, need help

hi,
a buddy of mine on here actually has just finished putting together his firehawk, it has a fresh 383 engine in it,and we cant seem to get the system to bleed out. i haven't ever had this problem with my 97 camaro,i can bleed it out in min. but we have worked on this thing for hours it seems. he does have a elec. w/p meiser i think. and we can get fluid out of the bleed screws. just cant seem to get a steady flow, mostly from the top bleed screw,we have had steady pressure from the bottom one.is there any other tricks maybe we can try? or just keep bleeding this way and hope is works out? thanks.

Maybe grab the hoses and shake/wiggle them? I'm like you though and never had a problem.

Try putting the car on a steep incline, always worked bleeding my PITA intercooler setup on my other car. Makes the front of the car the highest point, and can get more coolant in from the filler neck.

thats sounds like it might work,we will have to try that, we have tried pumping the hoses manually, seems like the same results. thanks for the info.
