Black Smoke ????????

Does anyone know what will make a LT1 smoke some fierce black smoke out the exhaust around 4000 RPM or better ? the car runs strong as hell , It has a gutted cat and a jet module....I was thinking that maybe it needs something to fool the computer from the o2 sensor .....Anyone know where i can get the piece to fool the cars computer ? I was also thinking that maybe the timing chain could be stretched but I think it may run a lil strong to have any timing problems....It is getting very very bad gas milage "bout 190 per tank " and it idles high somtimes..Open to opinions thanks guys Robb

It's running rich.
Change your filter and plugs.

You know what....that is exactly what all my frineds are saying about it....It aint the fuel filter or the plugs..But one of my best frineds a mechanic" a lucky one w/a 2002 ram air and a 95z28 " said that also...but i was just trying to make sure....
