Big problem, Please help!
Well his problem got worse, he did a compression test and it said 60 psi, so he said he thinks its a piston since his valve are new. So he is looking at either a rebuild kit in summit for I think $550 or so, or he might stroke it. But he hasnt got to drive it in almost 2 years and there is no way would be able to afford to stroke it before summer is up.
i think a valve is out of adjustment., aka a roller rocker is tightened too much or too little. This was my problem at first when i was fouling them out. i took it too a shop and had diagnostics done; they said i only had 25# compression in 2 of my cylinders and that it was probably the valve adjustment. they readjusted them and it fixed my low compression problem. however, it didn't fix my fouling plugs problem, which i later identified as a burnt wire.
if they foul out in less than 20 seconds just sittin in the garage, you've hooked up your wires to the opti backwards!
make sure you change plugs every time you foul them out and if it still doesn't run, look for more burnt wires...i found my last burnt wires at the wiring harness near the back of the motor!!
after 4 sets of plugs, it runs fine now!
but yeah, have him get the valve adjustment checked.
