A Big Performance Boost!!!

I though I would share an experience that I had with my last Z . It was a bone stock 95Z28 A4 with about 108,000 miles on it. I could tell that the pervious owner did not keep the car up, the whole car inside and out was grimy including the engine bay. When I first bought the car I blew a head gasket so I decided to clean the engine bay and all the electrical terminals. I also cleaned the intake manifold, the throttle body and had the heads cleaned with a basic valve job. I TELL YOU WHAT……. after I had everything reassembled, for being stock, the car was running SO STRONG!!! I felt a HUGE difference in performance and throttle response by just cleaning things up and having a valve job. The valve job was $200 total and the gaskets were like $75 when it was all said and done. The reason why I decided to post this was that I think I’m going to do the same with my current Z now and to let others know that it may not hurt to do a clean up on your engine!!

Seafoam is good stuff....

I felt a difference in throttle response after doing it...

Although I did have to change my o2 sensors sometime after

You can get seafoam at napa... I think I have seen it at pepboys before as well...

I know you can get it off the internet some where but I think they also sell it at oreilys. I just used the gm top engine cleaner it's probably about the same stuff just more expensive. Man it was fun to have an excusse to drive the crap out of my car! I did it on a 2 lane either way back street and this stupid saturn thought it would be cool to speed up so I couldn't pass him. Then once I did I was accelerating that brakeing than acc. again to get all the stuff out. And the moron comes right up on me and hugs my rearend and starts trying to play w/ me like he wants to race or something. Those 4 bangers will never learn!

NAPA carries it.

Its actually called Seafoam Deep Creep. Comes in a white can with a black top and some red/white lettering and graphics on it.

Same stuff as GM top end engine cleaner.

Deep creep is a different type of Seafoam, used more for spraying into and on things. The Seafoam used for internals, is a pop top liquid in a can that you use to dump some into the intake and some into the gas tank and run through that way. It is similar but not the same as Deep Creep.
