Big CAm + Emissions

I'll have a lot of money to put into the car here soon, but here where I am, I still have to pass emissions. How big could I go and still pass the sniffer? (Assume long tubes, all smog equip, hi-flow cat)

I was wanting to go with a GM847 but if i have to go with a 306 on a 114 I will

If theres anyone that can explain to me why the LSA has an effect on emissions, and explain how the lift and duration effect the emissions as well, it would be appreciated. (I understand that more duration obviously means more exhaust out per stroke, but thats about it)

I used to test cars for emissions in GA and with any cam bigger than stock, its gonna be pushing it. There are cams that will pass but it has a lot to do with the tune you have. They are all kinda iffy.

Find out what you can and cant have as far as emissions. My buddies 383, longtubes, cats, ported lt4s and GM 847 passed in ohio.

HC 23.2, limit 99.......pass
0% CO....limit .55%....pass

Thats an option. Finding an inspector that is willing to do an illegal emission is another option but they are really cracking down on them so it might be hard to find someone who is willing to do that. Where in the metro area do you live? Just curious
