I've heard that you can improve transmission performance and get performance similar to a shift kit by simply adjusting the PCM.

My question is do you think it better to do install a shift kit (like a Trans-go kit) or to do it with LT1 Edit?

don't even bother doing it with LT1 Edit. Any "Shift Improvement Module" or the Hypertech Power Programmer also shouldn't be used. All 3 of these raise the line pressure to get the feeling of the firmer shift. A shift kit is definitely the way to go, although the installation takes forever and will cost a bundle if you have someone else do it for you.

Guess i was lucky. I bought the B&M transpak and used the High Performance Street/Strip version. I had my tranny out because of my engine swap and installed the shift kit in my auto lab in about 3 hours.
