I think one is just a newer version of the other either that or one is for OBDI cars and the other is for OBDII. Dunno if that helps.

Personally.. I'd say neither..... I'd go with a mail-order tune... or as I did.. LT1 Edit.

What year is your car? I just switched to PCM4LESS because I got headers and thought I might get a little more out of it that way. I have a '96 HPP III if your interested. Email me! Dont buy a new one (there are lots for sale from members that have upgraded beyond it).

HPP III is the newer version. Plus is several years old. The functions on both are identical. Programming might be more up to date with the GM programs on the III, but other than that, they do the same thing.

The one i have has a cartridge that says supercharger and or cam swap on it which has never been used. When i bought the unit a few years back so is this cartridge worth anything if i want to sell it by itself? Thanks. Mike...

That would be because the previous owner had Hypertech supply him with the cartridge for his particular car. I don't know if they supplied the same "supercharged" program for everyone or tailored it to the customer.

Umm... you most likely won't be able to sell the cartridge. They permanently vin lock them to a specific car and you can't "return it back to stock" to use it on another car. Does your cartridge have a VIN number written on the label?

Yes it does have his Vin# on the cartridge. However he never used the cartridge. Because he sold the car and never installed the cam or supercharger.so can it be used on another car? it says cam and or supercharger on the cartridge. Thanks. Mike...

Nope, you won't be able to sell it. It's locked to the car he sold even though he never used it....
