Pull the wheels and have it sit on jackstands, put some type of fule treatment in it, im sure some one has a name/brand that you should use. Disconect the battery.

Also...

Add Stabil to the fuel to keep it from rotting. Some guys run SeaFoam in the intake until it stalls out and then leave it like that with the SeaFoam in the intake and on the back of the valves.

That's not really necessary these days.

Stuff some rags in your exhaust, change the oil, put the car on jack stands, (no need to remove the wheels), treat all of your weather strippings to some Armor-all.

I change the oil so it's fresh, then drive it into the garage and turn off the engine and disconnect the battery. That's it. Never had problems at all the last 6 years. Always starts up fine in the spring and runs like a champ. I do use synthetic oil, which I heard stays coated better over long periods. Don't know if that's true or not.

Some what like storing a boat inboard motor. Stabil into the gas tank, fog the engine to prevent rust on the cly. bores & valve stems. Oily rags into tail pipes, alum. foil over air cleaner to close it off. This is recommened for any engine that will not be run for more than 30 days. I also put a sheet of plastic under the whole car as a vapor barrier, & use a car cover. But I also start & drive the car up & down the drive every week to keep the A4 & tires "moving" if you do this you won't have to fog the motor or remove the battery. AND the clutches in the A4 won't dry out. It's up to you ......

The reason you raise you car is to save the wheel bearings. The only things that dry out are the crank seals and the seals on the tranny.
