What's the best way to test for sure if my car is detonating? I supsect it is because the sound the engine makes when accelerating, plus I'm getting 1-4* knock retard under normal driving conditions. Do I just need to take it to a shop, or is there something I can look for with my scanner?

 

You could always run a couple of gallons of race gas in it to see if that stops the problem.
