Best way to grab spark plugs on Passenger side?
Best way to grab spark plugs on Passenger side?
Going to change the plugs in the bird. The driver side looks pretty straightforward but what do you guys recommend for the passenger. Looks like the alternator may have to come out unless I can grab the plug from the bottom, but I dunno. I havent changed the plugs since the headers went in so I'm asking for the easiest way.

I usually remove the alternator just for a little more elbow room. Then break out the short plug socket and the ratchet wrench and get to work. Depending on what headers you have, you may be able to do them from the top.

you are correct the alt. is in the way and if you attempt from the bottom the a/c comp and line will be in the way,the pass. side is not that bad i now have gotten it down to 45min.

Thanks for the tips, I have hooker LT's and I splurged and bought that silly SLP spark plug socket tool to maybe get them out a little easier. Dont know if you have seen it, its just a small socket that slides over the spark plug that you can turn with an opened ended wrench. I'll see what happens. Thanks again.

Yep, I made mine with an old socket I had from a set that has long since disappeared. I like to use a 3/4" ratchet wrench. 15 minute plug/wire changes baby!
