Question Best way to fix front dash?

In Texas in March (82 degrees), my dash decided it wanted to crack right down the middle.

I was wondering what the best way to fix the problem as cheap as possible, but so that it won't happen again. This fix does not need to be OEM, but I don't want a carpet.

You can always replace it with part # 10267171.

I got one from a local junkyard for $35. I would say that is gonna be your best bet.

that same thing happened to my dash, except it was 30 degrees outside and i was working on the car. Guess i'm not the only one this has happened too. I replaced mine with the factory piece, and the new one had a extra pad under it. Maybe that is suppose to help. I'd save up a few more dollars and get the GM part.

they sell a certain type of glue that is just for dash's...go to your local auto parts store and see if you can find it....better than having to first buy a new dash and then having the task of taking out and replacing the old one. just my .02$
