best valve spring compressor

I plan doing a cam swap soon. Any advice on what spring compressor to buy ? I want one easy to use for spring removal without taking the heads off.

Thanks.

This one is great for single spring applications.

This one can handle SOME double springs but has trouble in the rear under the cowl.

I used that one for my 918's with the engine in the car. It wasn't nearly as hard as people make it out to be. There are some holes on the frame above the radiator that this will slide into when you take the handle off as well, making it easier to get the spring on there right.

Thunderracing sells one that will do two springs at once and it works great. That is the one I used and didn't have a problem.
I think it was made by crane.

SLP used to have one in their catalog that says you can swap springs without droping valves. or that you could change the springs with the head on the car....one way or another...and it was cheap, like 35 bucks.

the easiest i've seen though was for a head that was off the car. it's like a big c-clamp that clips onto the spring and sets on the valve. just pull the handle and it compresses the spring...remove the retainer clips and the unclip the tool....spring falls off basicly.

Just like the Crane except it does one spring at a time, and is only $30.
