I have taken the buld out of the stock headlight before to repalce it. I have head of ppl doing this and putting Silverstar Bulbs in to make the headlights brigter. Is this worth the $100?? Is there something better I can do?

 

www.autooptiks.com sells a conversion so you dont have to cut aprat your housings and silicon in the bulbs. I have these housings, and am running the 9005/9006 silverstart bulbs. They are a ton ton ton better than stock.

YOu also have the option of ordering a HID kit from www.tbyrnemotorsports.com but that cost $$$$$$$$$$$.

 

Those silverstar bulbs are only like 20$ a piece I thought at auto zone right?

 

The silverstars are like $25.00 a piece at AutoZone I believe. As for the autoptiks housings they are JUNK. I dont know from personal experience but do a quick search on autoptiks and you will see what I mean. I would just get some 9006 bulbs and silicone adhere them in place. Its a better housing and works great. Thats what I did but I am running a Philips/Hella 6000K HID kit. Cost slightly more than your $25.00 silverstar bulb though :-)

 

I have to disagree with the autoOptkis housings. I know many people have had trouble with them, but i couldnt be happier.

WHat happens if you silicon a bulb in your housing, then it burns out? You got a mess on your hands.
