Best Timing Chain

I am going to be doing a cam swap in my 95 LT1 and want to put a fresh timing chain set in. What brands are the best, and which is the best for my dollar? I am only doing a Hotcam and it will be a daily driver.

Re: Best Timing Chain

You'll here alot of stories about how each kind has broken on somebody, making them all a piece of ****. I went with a cloyes true double roller with mine, some say atock is fine (ie shoebox) others will say you need a $400 LT4 chain. But my opinion at cloyes is fine for smaller cams, but you will need an electric water pump.

Re: Best Timing Chain

I will not be going with the electric water pump, so that puts the double roller out. I am more interested in brands of direct replacement ones.

About the double roller. Does it bolt directly in (ie: no machine work or spare parts required) when using the electric water pump?

Thanks!

The only TC that works with stock waterpump is stock or LT4 extreme duty.
