Best "street" tires ?
Datonas=Firhawks=1.85 60 foots for le$$
A lot of people don't know this but Dayton is owned by firestone and have a lot of the same tire/product with very slight variations. The Dayton Daytona Zs are VERY similar to the Firehawks and even share their "double-traction" layer that is a different compound under the first layer to ensure equal traction after the tire is past mid-life. They're considerably cheaper though, by almost $50/tire. I've seen a lot of opinions on here but no hard numbers, so here they are: Stock suspension, A4 w/ 3000 stall, 2.73 rear gears: consistent 1.85-1.87 60 foot times w/ the Dayton Daytona 245/50/16ZRs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Nothing I've seen can beat that, in fact, I couldn't get better than a 1.79 w/ a set of much wider DRs even after heating them up several different ways.
