Don't bother with anything less than a 3200.

Yank and Vigilante are top notch.

I agree with RamAir95TA, I have a 3000 and barely notice it and want to have it restalled to a 3600.

I ran a 3600 in my daily driver for years and had no complaints. A 2500 stall is hardly better than stock.

About the same. It totally depends on your right foot. Make sure whatever you get is a lock-up.

There aren't any antiballooning plates, so I hope you never plan on running nitrous. You're going to get extra heat no matter what. With you mods and a higher stall, your tranny will not last very long. Might get some miles out of it if you install a tranny cooler. Mine lasted 30 miles on a heads/cam/3200 stall setup and it didn't have any obvious problems beforehand.

I'm sure you'll enjoy having the extra stall speed though, it's not going to be the strongest converter, but it'll do the job for what you want it for.

You made a poor choice, IMO. Why even ask for advice? You should have just stayed with a stock stall.

Anytime you install a higher stall you should always install a new transmission cooler hooked in series with the stock one. That goes without saying.

You've got a cammed LT1 - performance is taking a back seat to gas mileage? That I don't quite understand. Good luck anyway.

I think the 2500 he choice is a fantastic choice for someone who doesn't want to sacrifice drivability , in fact my favorite street converter I ever ran was very similar to the one he posted. While it might not be the fastest down the strip, it also wont make him hate driving the car. Nothing like daily driving in bumper to bumper traffic with a 3,600 stall converter To each their own.
