Best Stall for 224/230 @ 112LSA

I was thinking about going with a Vig 2800. Just looking for other suggestions. Thanks.

You seem to have done a lil' bit of homework.

If thats what you have decided on after research,
go with it, and don't look back. You know what you need

I'd go for the 3200 with lock up of course. You won't be sorry, and street manners will be just fine - especially when it locks up. Don't be skeered of the stall!

Ask Javier, he's tweaked his 224/230 setup to perfection. I am pretty sure he's running a 3200 Vig, but started with a 2800.

Thanks Dustin...

The Vigi 2800 worked well with my 224/230, but I would 60' better with the 3200 Vigi stall in the long run. Look into some 3.73's as well.. it made a night and day difference w/ that cam from the 3.23's.

At this point the 3200 is too small for my LE3 cam.. time to go bigger!

I would like to know that too. From what I have heard you can only go as high as a 2800 with a 95 with the obd 1 .

I have obd1 in my 94. I have a TCI super street fighter 3500 rpm stall that acts like a 4000 rpm stall. I have no problems with the "stall wall." If you do have problems you can have it tuned out. I had my pcm done by madz28 before I ran the stall.

oh yeah, and don't be afraid of some stall speed. prior to my car I had NEVER riden/driven anything with a high stall converter. I was scared at first but after driving it I absolutely love it. its a little bit of a pain going up long steep hills. when you stomp on the gas you will forget any problems of owning a high stall converter

javier: if I were you I'd look into installing a switch so you can lock the converter when you want to. my whole setup isnt too far from yours and my car locks up at 50 mph. this is around 1700-1800 rpm. I wouldn't really want it to lock up at anything lower than that. I have been wanting to install a switch so that around lower speeds (~35-50mph) I can keep it in 3rd gear and lock the converter manually. it gets to be a MAJOR pain when you get behind some dolt thats traveling at 48 mph and you can't get that extra 2 mph to lock up the converter!
