Best place to buy GM opti

I bought one off ebay a while ago from all ingnition or something. Turned out to be a false claim. Any way. I am looking to replace it this April so where is the best/cheapest place to get a real GM opti?

Yes, me included. It's an OEM Delphi unit.

Sorry about pointing you towards all ignition. You could also try Jason Cromer at Sam Taylor Buick in Fort Walton Beach Florida. He is one of the contacts listed on shoebox's site.

No hard feelings. You get what you pay for. I just don't want to do the opti install to many more times

The EBay link I gave was for an unvented opti. Based on your userid, I'm assuming you have a 1994 LT1. I hope it works out for you.

Is your all ignition opti starting to crap out?

Yes i have the unvented 94.

My all ignition one has had a miss around 3000 rpm's after about the first 500 miles or so. Now the miss is random between 2000-3000 rpm's. With about 3500 miles on it.

Thanks for the link.

Jason Cromer or Summit also sells them for about $300. I don't trust anything off ebay if the price is too good to be true. Jason is wholesale, so it would be tough to beat his price for the real deal off ebay for cheaper.

actually, no. Doesn't matter who your hookup is, a dealer is always going to be more expensive. Jason Cromer still can't give you as good a deal as thepartsladi can, and he requires a core.

thepartsladi opti is the same opti that you get at a dealer. It is a direct factory OEM replacement opti from Delphi.

There is enough bad information on this forum. If you don't know what you're talking about then you shouldn't make posts based on assumptions.

I'm only saying this because in the future when somebody is doing a search on the best place to buy an opti, your post is going to cause confusion and added headache, and will result in a new thread of somebody wanting more confirmation as to where he can get the best deal on an OEM opti.

Jason's prices are always worth checking, imo. You always know what you're getting, and he doesn't bang you on shipping charges. For some people, that might be worth a few extra bucks. I've bought tons of stuff from him, and he has soundly beaten most prices, on most parts.

...actually no, I've never been asked for a core ( talk about confusion and knowing what you're talking about!) from Jason as they sell only new OEM optis, not rebuilt ones, which is why you would be required to send a core. As the post mentions above, anyone would be hard pressed to beat Jason's prices, its not the same prices as just any ole dealer would have, and you know its real and not a chinese knockoff...not that the partsladi are, but I know Jason's are not.
I have hook ups here locally that are parts managers at GM dealers and they can't even beat Jason's prices.
