best option?

Exaust question. I have a 94 z28 with headers and straight 3 inch tubing to a single flowmaster. No cat. I have heard the flowmaster can take some power away, should I just get a cutout? If I go to the muffler shop, they should be able to make one for me right?

Oh and by the way I absolutly hate the way my exaust looks right now. It looks like the guy that sold it to me bought a single flow and then had a mufflers shop weld on some 2.5 inch tips. What is the best flowing catback system for the price? I was thinking hooker? I also want the tips to look nice, something besides these freakin chrome single tips.

Thanks--- az28

If you really hate the way your exhaust looks right now, just get a new catback. For the price, Hooker is a really good catback. You can find some pretty good deals in the For Sale section here also, I got my 2OTL for $200. When you choose a catback just make sure it uses a straight through design, unlike the chambered design of the Flowmaster.

As for the cutout, I'd pass on it if you're getting a new catback.
