Fram is the last brand I would buy. They rate low in most comparisons I have seen. I am currently using a NAPA Gold(made by Wix). I use AC-Delco, too.

I prefer the Purolator PureONE. I avoid Fram like the plague.

I've used AC Delco since the car was new. I've switched over to WIX.

AC PF454 here...its the only one I have found that clears my big Kooks stepped 1 3/4"-1 7/8" headers...I have always liked AC filters...The K&N is nice too with the 1" bolt welded on the bottom for easy removal...

I've always used wix on the SS, used Delco on my '97 and '94 Z's though.

Only one I've heard bad things about is fram.

edit: Shoebox has already nailed it.

The Amsoil EaO series is a good filter. They also make a shorty that crosses to the PF454, although the Amsoil is a hair longer, perhaps 1/8". I have a couple, but have yet to put one on my car. It appears that it will fit with my Kooks, but my headers aren't stepped, if that makes a difference.

Stepped lose 1/16" of clearance... if you're that close then you've got bigger problems.

Chalk another Wix user up on the list.

It's not cheaper than the Fram, which is cardboard.
