3.73 gears would help out. but i'm not sure how much of a difference you would see since you probably already have 3.42's
if i was you i wouldn't bother dealing with the mass air flow meter, its good enough for the mods you got now and the ones you have to come too. just my .02 worth

Well since you already have headers on there...i wouldn't do long tubes just yet, unless your BBk's are goin to sh*t on you. if you're goin with a stall do a 3300 or 3400, i think(but not sure) if you go any higher you need to have your computer reprogramed. but don't hold me to it

as for the 3.42 gears, i think GM used these to help out wiht gas mileage, because if they did use 3.73 (4.11 for M6) they wouldn't meet the ave for gas mileage on all GM vehicles then they would have to pay a certain tax or fee( ) not for sure on that one either but i think thats it...

Gotta bump in here. No A4's did not come with 3.42's. They either came with 2.73's or 3.23's depending on whether the first owner opted for the performance rear. Second M6's didn't come with either 3.73's or 4.10's. They came with 3.42's. Hope this helps and also 3200-3400 seems like a really high stall for a daily driven camaro.

my bad on the stock gears...didn't know for sure, as for the 3.73 or 4.11's in an M6 i never said they did come with it ...as for the stall it might help out when/if he decides to do a cam/head job on the car down the road

Yeah a torgue converter would be a great idea but it all depends on what he wants the car to be. If he's putting in a mild cam and maybe some head work and going to be daily driving it a 2800 stall would probably be a good idea. If he's going to be doing some good head work and a big cam where it make power around 6500 rpm then yeah a 3200-3400 might be a good idea but it all depends on where in the rpm band it'll make power. I'm not trying to flame you I swear. I do agree through torque converter is a great mod.
