Best hooking regular radial tires?(not drag radials)

I'm not looking for drag radials but I want the best hooking regular radial tires I can buy, reguardless of treadwear. Some of the more high performance tires are very expensive so I don't want to spend the money on them if they aren't going to hook well. Any ideas? Thanks.

I'm going out on a limb and am going with Firestone Firehawk SZ50's. Love em. Great traction, both on and off the track. Wet traction is incredible too.

I've heard nothing but good things about BFG KD's. They're a pretty soft tire so they won't last long, but they'll hook.

I have been continually impressed with my BFG Geforce KDW tires. NOT the KDWS. They are fairly affordable compared to many of the others as well.

I second the Firehawk SZ50s. I am on my second set and have pulled several 2.0 60' times with my 6M at the track. They are awesome in the wet too, and more quiet than most. I will buy another set when I need them.
