Best Header & Exhaust Combo????

I've been looking around, Borla looks like great exhaust, but I've heard that it sounds different pending on what headers you purchase. Does this applie with other exhaust systems too? Whats the best sounding header and exhaust combo?

I have no first hand knowledge of this, but as far as sound clips (yeah! i'm basing this entire post off of what i hear in headphones!) and reader's rides, as well as reading posts here and there, the SLP 2OTL system responds very well to headers (I believe the headers I heard were hooker long tubes). Borla and Corsa probably sound okay, but many folks will tell you, you won't hear much rasping out of an SLP 2OTL. It's cheap, too. $400 for the stainless steel 2otl catback. Another good reason for you--in dyno testing, the 2otl was only 3hp shy of the cutout they tested. In other words, a cutout was only worth 3rwhp more than getting a 2otl catback. Food for thought, hope I've helped.

Hooker Longtubes and Hooker catback.
I love Borla on a stock car but with headers it might be raspy. Try using the search button at the top of the sight and type in sound clips I am sure something will come up. But if you want the best thing out there get true duals with x-pipe and mufflers of your choice. Bullets are the most popular since they are very cheap. Do a search on true duals while you are at it.

I had Jet-Hot LTs-ORP-Borla and it sucked. Borla is good on a stock manifold car but not with headers. I have a friend with an 02 Z28 and same setup except he's got SLP LTs and its the same thing but about 1000x more high pitched and horrid sounding. Once I made the switch to the Hooker cat-back, I wished I had bought it in the first place. That is the way an LT1 should sound. Good rumble to it. LTs+ORP+Hooker=a from me and many others. I'm not saying my setup is the best but its doing quite well for me.

If I could do it again I would either keep my 2otl and just get good headers and an electrical cutout or I would get the mufflex 3.5 or 4 in catback. It sounds badass. My loudmouth is awesome, don't get me wrong but I think I would just have 2otl and a cutout.
