I have a hooker cat back getting put on right now...along with my jet hot long tubes From what I have been reading the hooker is a great cat back for the money.

 

i got a hooker. its awesome and was only like 285 shipped from thunder racing. gets louder as you drive it. very easy install. took me about an hour total. i recommend it.

 

Another option would be to hit up Ebay and do a search for "magnaflow camaro" and you should see a few auctions for said exhaust system for about 250 or about $320 with a high flow cat. AWESOME deal IMO.

 

I can only afford to the get Hooker Catback exhaust itself. No headers or anything yet. Can I expect about 25 more horses at the crank like it says?

 

Plus the Magnaflow is stainless.

I've heard the Hooker system is supposed to sound great, but I personally wouldn't mess with another aluminized system again. The Magnaflow is just too cheap to bother with the aluminized stuff.

I like the Hooker catback. It sounds great behind my Jet Hot longtubes and hooker Y-pipe. Its the best deal for the money imo and unlike the Magnaflow the tips look nice.

 

Another vote for the Hooker cat-back.

No cat-back will give you 25 HP at the crank.

11 rear wheel horsepower is reasonable.

you dont have many choices spending 300 bucks. I was lucky enough to find a used borla for only 340 shipped

I believe they all make about the same hp. I've heard Flowmaster gives a little less but there's no proof to back that up. If you just want the most hp for under $300 bucks get a cutout. $50 bucks later your car will sound mean as hell and you'll get great hp. I spent $0 btw by doing my own cutout. The best sounding setup for an otherwise stock exhaust. If you HAVE to have a catback I'd go for the Hooker also. Heard nothing but great things about it, not to mention it has a very nice deep tone.
