Best Exhaust For The LT1
Best Exhaust For The LT1
I am planning on doing my exhaust soon and am in search of a good cat-back system. I have flowmaster now but when I do the Hooker Longtubes I want to do something else. My options so far are 3.5in Mufflex w/Spintech muffler, true duals, Magna Flow, or Dyno max. I am looking for nice sound but most importantly more Horse Power. Which of these do you suggest, do you have any other suggestions, I also plan on doing either the Hooker Y-Pipe, or the off road Mufflex Y-Pipe, if true duals doesn't work out! Thanx for the imput!!!!!
it makes no sense to do true duals inless u have lts. and are running a cam. i sugest the borla its got a nice sound and flows nice. pluse i will be selling my whole exhaust system soon.

Borla is crap ($$$$), and sounds like a dumptruck. Dont buy it. If you want a catback, then hooker($), magnaflow ($$), and mufflex ($$$) are some of the best IMO.
The SLP 2 on the Left system ($$) also flows very well.
I would listen to them all and see how you like them. The hooker or mufflex will be the quietest at idle, but both open up at WOT.
I personally would go true duals because you can usually fab the system up yourself for under $200 as long as you have long tubes.
GMMG is also a good catback ($$$$) and sound is comparable to true duals.
