Well here's 3 options. One can save you money, the 2nd can save you the most money and the 3rd will look and sound really nice, but won't give you the bang for the buck that option #1 will give.

#1) uncoated Long tubes and Y-pipe welded to a capped style cutout.

#2) Coated Long tubes and Y-pipe and welded to a capped style cutout. Coating for durability, looks, and heat control.

#3) Coated long tubes and y-pipe and welded to a $400 catback. I chose the American Thunder Flowmaster system and it sounds great. Now I didn't pay $400 for it, nor would I ever do so. I found in on my local Craigslist.com for $120 shipped to my door.

Full exhaust should net you 30+/- whp on a stock car. In the 1/4 mile, you should drop easily 3-4 tenths and gain 4-5mph.

I believe its best to have the length of the header primaries longer then they come, ie
its best to keep the same size tube for the first foot or so. Not sure what the exact number are......I've just heard that.

I have longtubes going into a dual 3" exhaust with x-pipe. Hopefully its not too much, but the rest of it isgetting welded up tommorrow.

Do you have emissions regulations to meet? If your ground clearance suffers do to long tubes, would that be an issue?
