Best Cylinder head
Ditto on the "promotional tactics." It seems they have been riding on their own coat-tails for some time now.
There are a lot of different ways cylinder heads are made, and some are much more conducive to a successful and easier conversion. As it turns out, Brodix heads appear to be far from optimal for converted.
The flow bench has been a wonderful addition to the induction-guy's repertoire, but he can make it print just about whatever he wants. When some says, "Yeah, these heads flow 300 cfm," it's like saying, "I weigh 130." There is more to it than that; there are units and details about how the value was obtained. Of course, there is also the flow bench itself. Some are more liberal than others. Flow is certainly not useless to the discerning porter, but he knows that much of the head's treasures lie in the shape of the port and it's turn. Nonetheless, 330 cfm does sound impressive for the heads!

well if you wanna spend 2500 for bare heads.. can alwyas look into a set of all pro's that'll get ya 360cfm easy.. far better than any afr i have seen..
I too havne't been impressed w/ the stuff afr has produced.. hence why i went over to the SBC stuff.. I've looked at dart's,brodix, but settled on a all pro raised runner head.. for the $$$ (1800.00) for the pair bare.. just made sense... 500 is a lil steep for the conversion.. think most i have seen is about 400 or so... still not bad considering the broad choices.. you can choose from.. but like machinestone said.. throw some decent heads on there.. forced indux. is a easy setup to make HP with..

What did the numbers look like on those heads and where'd you pick them up at?
Not to take away from the AP heads, but these will work too: http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku
Find someone with a good port for your combo and you will probably make more power than your bargained for.

Well ya.. the 15* deg.. Vic is a kick *** head as well... But like alan said the port is critical in any head.. My all pro's as cast only moved 256cfm.. so it's not like you just buy them and throw them on.. they're really designed to go roundy round, but you get someone that know's what they're doing to work em, and that's where your going to spend the coin....
ya I like the Victor stuff I've seen a few setups make good horsepower and move down the track well. A 2.180 valve that's massive for a small block, is it even gonna fit in my 4.030 bore?
