Best chip for 93 ??

I have tried the Hypertech and was disappointed for $140.00..I have LT1/A4 with bolt on mods w/ open exhaust and 3.42s coming in the mail. I have gained maybe 30-40 hp just adding up bolt ons and exhaust. I also had heads surfaced so compression is up a tiny bit. So what about Jet stage II or Ed Wright? Thanks for the Info!!!!

Alvin knows his stuff, and is VERY good with his tunes. I know, both of my cars have his chips.

..

hey Got-LT1..I have some 2 bolt LT1 blocks in my barn if you get to where you can't get a 4-bolt. They are complete long blocks without intake/exhaust manifolds. Came both from Impala SSs. 350s. "3-2-7" casting blocks.

Isn't the Ed Wright chip PCMforless? I got a stage 2 fastchip (Ed Wright) and my car runs wierd with it. The idle is all messed up and it runs rich. I bought mine used, it looks like the guy who had it on his car had his programmed for more mods or something.

Another vote for pcmforless. I would not waste my money on Hypercrap.

I have hypertech and did 160stat at the same time. I noticed a difference. Have any of you guys gone from hypertech to pcmforless? If so what difference did you notice between the two? After a few more mods I might try pcmforless if will improve on what I already have. Just wondering.......

My PCMFORLESS chip works great, but I'm not going to jump on the "Hypertech Bashing" bandwagon. Mine went 12.82 with a completely stock motor with manifolds...Full weight...and stock suspension, last year with a generic Hypertech chip.

I went from HyperTech to PCMforLess....I can tell the difference, hyp is kinda doggish until you go WOT then I think that is where the programming begins to be different, however Alvins programs are throughout, From idle to WOT...... Excellent in my book.

Ditto. Hypertech's part throttle tuning could use some work, but PCMforless' is a really good overall tune. Plus, you get six months of adjustments free.
