Best cam selection for my setup?

95' Z and have minimal mod's. Cutout, CAI, Jet Hot LT's, 3000rpm Vig., and 3.73's. The Jet Hot's aren't in yet but will be before spring and I have plans to convert to a true dual setup that exits before the rear tires. Sometime during the summer I had planned on a cam install. So I figured I'd do heads at the same time. After a long LONG debate over Trick Flow, Edlebrock, or Stock P&P(the only options in my price range). I've decided to just P&P my stock heads. Now I'm in the search for the right cam with my setup. NO2 might come after the new found power starts to not feel so great anymore, so I've kept that in mind, but it's not something set in stone. I'd rather have power on tap 24/7 anyway. So any ideas which cam will benefit me the most for a Daily Driven car. I don't live in a large city so sitting in traffic isn't much of an issue. Obviously I want to make the most power but I don't want to get pissed off all the time cause the car won't idle well. I'm willing to sacrifice some power to ease drivability. Any idea's? Keep in mind I don't know a whole heck of a lot about what the cam #'s mean. So I'm kinda stuck as to what route I should go and get the most out of my application. I've basically only looked at HotCam,CC305,CC306,and custom ground. That's it. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Do you have emissions? If not i would go with the cc306. If can be still a good daily driver. It would also be very nice with p & p heads.

What kind of track #'s do you think I could get with the 306 and P&P heads? Haven't ran my setup now at the track, waiting for the LT's and spring. I figured with sticky tires I could probably get into the 12's already. BTW I have all the stuff to do a complete tuneup as soon as I get the car in the garage. So it should be running perfect.

I'd get a true custom grind after you get your heads ported and flow numbers or at least go with an XE grind. Joe Overton does custom grinds that put down great numbers.

CC306+PP Heads+Stall+all the bolt ons = 11s easy on good tires. Possibly mid 11s. I have heard the 230/236 XE cam makes more torque down low <3000. The 306 is going to rev really high (6700-7000) so you'll be stressing your engine quite a bit with that cam. The XE 230/236 is going to drop power very soon after it's peak power ~6200 or so due to the aggressive ramp design. I have the CC305, smaller than those two, but my car is still very impressive even on the stock heads. It is more drivable and doesn't rev as high, and makes decent power from 2000-6000 rpm. I'm pushing close to 340 rwhp and almost 345 rwtq on completely bone stock heads (and I don't even have full roller rocker fulcrums, just the roller tips cause that's all I could afford at the time - Comp Magnum 1.6 rockers).

thanks that's very interesting in comparison to the xe 230/236.
I'm guessing the 244 in comparison to the 236 is why the cc306 makes more power in the high rpms?

So with my current setup do you think I could dip into the 11's after the heads and cam install without the use of NO2? I was hoping for consistant low 12's. I knew with the nitrous I could get down there easily since I've seen people almost do it without even touching heads and sometimes without the cam too. If I can run anywhere in the 11's I'll be thrilled for quite awhile.
