Unhappy Belt keeps getting chewed up

I have replaced my belt couple of times. Keeps getting chewed. I had a friend look at it and said the AC pully looks to be chewing it up. He said to get a AC Clutch/Pully does that make since? Can I replace just those parts? Thanks.

Seems kinda strange that just the pully is bad, usually that means the bearings are going bad and the pully wobbles. Unless the pully looks like it has a dent in the groves or has been wacked resulting in it being unballanced, I'd have someone take a closer look.

I'm having the same trouble, see my post just this morning http://web.camaross.com/forums/showt...hreadid=111021

Having a problem with my A/C unit too...maybe thats the answer. I have a replacement sitting in a box, but no time to install it yet.

Pulley alignment or a bad pulley would be the most common problems resulting in belt destruction.

Do you have an underdrive crank pulley?
