Before you go and replace your MAP

In response to some people checking out the threads on the miracle map replacement fix.. try taking the existing one off first and checking to make sure the rubber gasket is sealing it properly.. I just pulled mine out and the rubber gasket was kinda "squished" on one side and might have been leaking a slight amount of air.. which would throw your map off... just a suggestion before you decide go and replace it

I also squirted some electronic cleaner on and in it.. *shrug* who knows if its good or bad.. should be ok tho is my guess

I should add that i thought the Gasket was a goner, but after cleaning it and kinda straightening the ripples with my fingers i was able to return it to its original form.. yay!

Q: Would putting seafoam in Via the MAP sensor hole be.. "ok"?

My gasket was squished like that too. I put sone ultra copper on it the last time I put the MAP sensor on. But I don't think it was leaking, just a precaution.
