before nitrous

made it to the dyno & put down 350rwhp while running lean (13.5 on the first run & 14.1 on the second run). we decided to wait & get my tune tweaked before we grenaded the stock shortblock with a wet shot of 150.
i was expecting 330 or so, i only ran 8.19 in the 1/8. what do you guys think?

lt4 hotcam, stage 1 ported heads with 1.6 rr's, hooker lt's, underdrive pulley, cai, dual cut-outs, borla cat-back, msd dig-6, ripper shifter, 12 bolt with 4.11's, pcm4less tune, et street radials, bmr ta, bmr sfc's. i originally was hoping for 6.90's in the 1/8, but after researching 7.50's seem more like it.

i had 4.10s and a 100 shot and i only ran a 9.1 with a 2.1 60 foot, so i would say with 350 whp a 7.5 is about right at sea level.

What was the MPH in the 1/8th? MPH is more indicative of HP than the ET.

those are pretty good dyno numbers for a hot cam/head car, especially being through a 12 bolt. You got about 10 horses with a tune. i would also like to know what your mph was too.

How did you only manage a 9.1, i went 9.0 on a 2.17 with NO nitrous with 3.42 gears, thats horrible.

Thats a good 1/8 if its on motor only with that HP, you should start seeing high 7s, you didn't list what your 60ft. was on that run, just work on the 60fts. You also need to take in the DA, how was the weather, was it hot & muggy, that alone will kill off a good 2-3 tenths over a cool night run, i lost just about .2 & 2 mph in the 1/8 on the same 60ft. from yesturday & 2 weeks ago when the air was crisp., so just remember you'll lose a good 2-4 tenths & 2-4 mph from winter to summer with no tuneing, sometimes even more if your tune is way off to begin with, 13.5 & 14.1 is pretty lean, 14.1 is really lean i think, you want to lean out in the summer, but i would think 13.0-13.2 WOT should still be fine, in the cool crisp air, you can fatten up to 12.4-12.6, so if you can get away with it, ice the intake down (in the summer) before your run, then push it to the burn-out box, you just need to make sure you capture any water from the bag, towls on each of the intake side will help, most tracks won't let you do this anymore, so its best to do it back in the pits, its an old trick thats worth a good .1 & 1-2 mph.

83 at the 1/8th seems very low... equates to about 104 MPH in the 1/4. With 350rwHP and your good 60-fts, I would expect the car to run around 7.8-7.9 @ 88 -89 MPH.

on that pass i topped in 3rd gear out to quick with my 4.11's & 2.97 1st gear. could that be why my mph was low?
