Beehive springs on LT1 heads
Not much more than 6300-6400 MAX this is a 5.7"rod and 3.75" stroke that I dont want to rev it that much.. It will just eat up past those rpms and I would love for this engine to last 30-50k miles as it is..
I use the regular double springs from AFR and so far so good.. I was interested in the beehives though... if anyone has used htem...
They reduce weight and I like the concept...
Coupled with titanium retainers (I have steel) would be nice

SOOO.... anyone pulled this off?
I have a set of heads in the garage looking for a small porting, 1.6 Pro Magnums, and some new springs...
Will these fit LT1 or LT4 spring seats? If not, is it possible to make this work?
Any estimates on the install height using stock valves (and seats if possible)? I'm looking for ~0.570" valve lift.

I have heard that the Beehives will fit fine on LT1 heads if you run the L98 spring locators/seats.... Then you just need to shim them as normal to the desired installed height.
On another NOTE... If any of guys want to purchase a set of 1.7 Scorpions with less than 200 miles on them, drop me an Email. These are for 3/8" rocker studs... I'll also throw in my ARP 3/8" studs... All for $215 to the door..... Everything works fine, but I'm just going to go a different avenue on my valvetrain.
