I have a question concering the beehive springs. Can I use the yellow Z06 springs from an LS1 without much complications? They can handle 550 lift and are close to the physical dimentions of the 918's.....any thoughts.

 

Too little info: You need to determine how much lift you are going to have before you can decide on which springs to use. JMHO

 

Yes. What cam are you trying to match them to? You have to make sure there are locators, retainers and locks that will match your heads and valves as well. Furthermore, the install height on the LT1 heads will be different that the LSx heads. I saw that those springs are installed at about 1.9", while most LTx springs are installed closer to 1.75".

Just get the right springs and then you won't have to worry. It's not worth saving a few bucks in the end.
