When figuring the install height on the 26918 Beehive valve spring with 787-16 retainer what valve spring micrometer are you using? The reason I ask is, the 787-16 retainer is a smaller diameter than regular retainers.

I think comp has a special mic just for the beehives. I saw it in the parts catalog the other day.

its been awhile since i miced mine. You have to figure in the distance that the retainer sits down on the step. somewhere around 0.145 is what mine came out to be

 

Yep, just ADD the step to whatever you want to get and use that for your reading.... commonly the step is .150"
