becool radiator for a 1995 formula lt1. anyone using one?

I was considering changing my radiator because i have a brand new motor in the car running alot more boost with hopefully alot more horsepower...Was wondering if anyone is using a becool radiator for their car and if its worth the cost. Do they live upto their claims of a 20 degree temperature drop? opinions are appreciated thanks

Are you running a 12 rib setup or an 8-rib setup? I currently am running a 12-rib setup and electric waterpump with my Be Cool Radiator. I could not use the stock fans so I had to go and buy a low profile fan (16-in Spal Fan - 130.00). IMO it is not worth going to a Be Cool radiator unless your car is overheating. How much power are you making?

I have one....

Install was a PITA if you have a Meziere water pump, there is clearance issues, plan on cracking your fan shroud in various places.

Other than that, it is awesome. I just went to the beach yesterday (80 miles) in 100+ degree weather and the temp never even hit 180 degrees.

Here is my cooling setup:

Meziere water pump
160 degree t-stat
hot wired fans
Be cool radiator

Until I replaced the radiator, the car was on the virge of overheating all the time with all the othger cooling mods except the radiator (water pump, t-stat, etc.).

Griffin makes a good unit for our cars also, about 60 or 70 bucks more expensive though.

im hoping to make 500hp at the motor..im runnin the 8 rib setup the motor is in process of bein put together. i was wondering if i could change to a 12rib setup how much it cost etc..i contacted ati..they are shipping a 13lb pulley right now...the motor is a 355ci 9:1 compression motor with the valvetrain all comp cams..and a custom ground comp camsper rskrause specs. 1.5 roller rockers etc etc. i dont know if it will make 500 hp im hoping it does. the car used to run very hot..fans were always on...so i figured i got a good price at..scoggin dickey for it..for 499.00 satin finish.. if it does indeed drop the temps 30 deg id think its worth it...also looking at a new oil pan and possibly oil pump..need opinions if a high flow pump is worth it..the oil pan has the feed for the blower.and it was done rather shoddy i was getting some oil leaks...any help is appreciated this thing is finally getting put together..
