Bearing on the spider of the driveshaft...

I just recently got a 1LE driveshaft and the bearings on the spider easy slide off and on...my stocker didnt do this when I compared them...is this ok...or even the way its suppossed to be?

You are referring to the u-joint bearing caps. I think the stock ones have a metal clip that helps keep them on. It is ok if they move freely as long as there is no perceptible slack in them.

Rob, there is no absolutely no slack, they just move freely. Oh and I did check the stocker and there are little clips that keep them in place like you said....once I tighten these down with the clamp that mounts to the differential housing it should keep them in place right?

They definitely will not go anywhere when bolted in. Just make sure you get the caps fitted inside the little tab in the yoke. It is a tight fit.

Although I'm using a stocker, I had it balanced and new U joints put on. I too have to compress the caps (just squeeze it w/ my fingers) to get it to fit into the yoke.
