bbk u/d pulleys..need help

bbk u/d pulleys..need help

today i took my car to another guy on the board, and we treid to do this swap. he got the 3 7/16'ths bolts out. then he couldnt get the balancer off! we tried for like 2 hours, anyway he sprayed it with some shiat, and kept trying but it was a no go. any suggestions to get this thing off? thanks in advance

It gets "sandwiched" between the stock damper/pulley and the hub.

When the cars were new, if you pulled the 3 bolts out, the damper would fall off. Rust has made many near impossible to remove. Sometimes a few taps with a hammer will help. Otherwise, you need to use a 3-jaw puller. Shoebox has the info on his "Tech Pages". Avoid tapping on or pulling on the outer diameter of the damper - you can damage it.

aright then what do you do to get the hub off also as i need to get to the cam?
