Battery?

I go to start my car and the starter cranks for a split second and then everything stops. No lights, nothing. So I'm thinking dead battery. I take off the positive terminal, and then reconnect it and the car starts right up. There is no corrosion and the terminal was on there nice and tight. Is there something else that is slowly "dying" and causing my car to get no power at all? The battery had a full charge when this happened. Thanks.

You said you took it off, put it back on and it started right up... Also that it had a full charge when this happened... Maybe it's just a lose connection?

No 1. battery problem is a bad battery, whether it is poor quality or past its prime.

Be sure to check the terminal itself. It may be clean and your connections tight, but I have seen new batteries (cheap type) with a terminal that actually turns inside the case (not a good thing). Check it out. jmho
